ODA Gypsy Moth Treatment Planned for Gahanna

The ODA completed an analysis of gypsy moth populations throughout Ohio.  Based on rising moth captures and/or egg mass counts within the Gahanna area, the ODA concluded that a treatment was needed. 

The ODA in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service/Forest Health Protection/Gypsy Moth Slow the Spread Program, will be conducting a Gypsy Moth Treatment Project during the months of May and/or June in the areas outlined in the map

Gahanna Provides A Relaxing Way of Life Just Outside Columbus

Growing up in Hilo, Hawaii, Ava Misseldine whiled away her free time swimming and surfing in the Pacific Ocean. It was, she admits, the kind of sheer bliss that would make anyone envious.

But Misseldine found her personal paradise in Gahanna after opening Koko Tea Salon & Bakery last year. (Koko is Hawaiian for “sweet.”) The Mill Street emporium is filled with temptations ranging from triple-berry lavender cupcakes to lemongrass macaroons. Each is served with delectable brews sourced from her family’s tea company in Hilo.

The City of Gahanna Department of Parks & Recreation Director, Tony Collins, updated City Council on the progress towards connecting trails and bikeways throughout Gahanna, including the Big Walnut Trail, at Monday’s weekly meeting.  The design and construction of multipurpose trails is a fundamental piece of the City's Five Year Capital Plan.

The City of Gahanna was notified by Moody's Investor Services, Inc. that the City's Aa1 bond rating has been reaffirmed. Aa1 is the second highest credit rating issued by Moody's.
