Street Closures for Saturday, August 2, 2014

In preparation for the Vettes, Rods & Classics Car Show on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Creekside, the following street closures will occur from 1:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. :

  • Mill St. will be closed from Granville St. to Walnut St.
  • Town St. will be closed between Mill St. and High St.
  • Walnut St. will be closed between Mill St. and High St.
  • The West half of the public parking lot at Town St. and High St. will be also be closed. The east half will remain public parking.

High Street will remain open in both directions. During the street closures, the parking garage on Mill St., will remain open for public parking. Access to the parking garage may be gained by going south bound on Mill St. from Carpenter Rd. or from west bound on North St.

It's Mosquito Season!

Mosquito season is officially in full-swing. The City of Gahanna has contracted with Franklin County Public Health (FCPH) for mosquito control this year. FCPH uses an Integrated Pest Management approach with a public health focus to reduce and control disease-carrying mosquitoes.

During mosquito season, Franklin County Public Health will set traps out every Monday night throughout central Ohio and test the mosquitoes on Tuesday for mosquito-borne diseases, such as the West Nile Virus (WNV).

Master Plan Paying Off: Trails are Connecting Gahanna

The City of Gahanna Department of Parks & Recreation Director, Tony Collins, updated City Council on the progress towards connecting trails and bikeways throughout Gahanna, including the Big Walnut Trail, at Monday’s weekly meeting.  The design and construction of multipurpose trails is a fundamental piece of the City's Five Year Capital Plan.
