The Creekside Story: Creekside Project Details
In October 2004, Olde Gahanna's revitalization took a major leap forward with the beginning of the New Creekside Project
redevelopment and park extension along Mill Street and Creekside Park. An innovative public-private partnership between
the City of Gahanna and the Stonehenge Company leveraged $25 million in private improvements with $11 million in new
public infrastructure improvements.
From now until 2007, Gahanna will witness the transformation of Olde Gahanna into a vibrant new heart that includes
new public spaces, residences, offices, retail, and restaurants. From new covered public parking and park spaces to
new places to live, work, and play, Olde Gahanna will become the anchor for Gahanna's vitality and growth.
A major extension of Creekside Park that connects it to Mill Street.
An extension of the Boardwalk along the east bank of the Mill Race.
The Mill Pond park plaza with a new waterfall and fountain.
Several new festival, small performance, and exhibit spaces.
Extensive natural preservation and new landscaped areas.
389 New Public Parking Spaces in a City-owned Parking Garage.
Nearly 100 New Private Parking Garage Spaces for Project Condominiums
Approximately 50,000 square feet of new restaurants and shops.
Approximately 50,000 square feet of new high quality office space.
Over 400 estimated new employees
70 condominiums from 1000 to 3000 square feet each.
Approximately 100-150 new residents
This new and exciting project is attracting investments and contributions from various sources.
The Gahanna Rotary Club recently announced its commitment of $50,000 to a major park feature.
In addition, Franklin County awarded a $250,000 Community Development Block Grant for streetscape
