The shared efforts of Gahanna's government and community organizations bring spirit and prosperity to our community. Each year Gahanna residents are brought together for a variety of events including the Herb Festival, the Holiday Lights! Festival & Parade, and the Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival. Local businesses enjoy the support and networking of Gahanna Events, the Gahanna Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Olde Gahanna Community Partnership. Our eventful and colorful history is recorded and shared by the Gahanna Historical Society. Find out more below:
- Gahanna has major community family events all throughout the year. Every May, the Herb Capital of Ohio celebrates
with special herb events sponsored by the Ohio Herb Education Center and the Gahanna Historical Society. Each June,
the Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival attracts over 80,000 people over three days for music, arts & crafts, food, rides,
classic cars, and family fun. It has been called the "crown jewel in Gahanna's civic event crown" by a local newspaper.
In July,
the 4th of July Freedom Festival provides not only fireworks and a parade, but Teenfest, great music, family outdoor
activities and more. This day-long Independence celebration is one of the best in the region. The Gahanna Flea Market
lines Mill Street in Olde Gahanna every September. And, finally, in what is considered to be the largest single day
holiday event in Central Ohio, Gahanna Holiday Lights! is the only night-time lighted parade in Central Ohio.
Festivities included a
Holiday Stroll through our businesses and the Historic District, crafts and fun for children.
