The Tax Division, is overseen by the Finance Department. This division is responsible for processing and auditing returns and billing for payroll, personal and business taxes. Tax forms can either be downloaded over to the side or picked up at City Hall. For additional information, please contact the Tax Division.

The City of Gahanna has mandatory tax filing for anyone that lived in the City during the year and had earned income. The Gahanna Income Tax Return is due on or before April 15, 2008.

Tax Update:

New this year, residents with W-2 income only may be eligible to file electronically by using the City of Gahanna's Webtool. Residents with schedule C, E, F, form 2106 or K-1's may not electronically file, but you may use the webtool to prepare your return. See link below.

E-payments Now Available: Also new for residents this year, tax and/or estimate payments can be made on-line using either your checking or savings account or by credit card (Mastercard, Visa, or Discover).

New for withholders, your bi-monthly, monthly or quarterly payments can be made online. You can also file your annual reconcilliation online using the withholder webtool. See link below.

All residents and withholders will be receiving your account number and pin on a post card or pre-printed tax form. If you do not receive this notification, please notify the tax department, and we will be happy to assist you. The webtool will be available beginning January 8, 2008. Note, withholders have a separate payment module, and may not use the link provided above.

The tax department will have extended hours on April 9-11, 14-15, 2008 from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
