Basketball & Volleyball Open Gyms
Open gym participants must be 18 years of age and bring a valid driver’s license. Passes may be purchased at the Parks & Recreation office. Open gyms will run October 2014 - April 2015. Schedule including start date and skip dates will be posted at www.gahanna.gov, all information listed below subject to change.

Single Visit Pass
Resident Discount Rate: $5; Standard Rate: $8 (beginning January 13, Tuesday night open gym will require a pass). If drivers license is not presented, participants will be charged standard rate. Please bring exact change.

Hatha Yoga for Every Body
Feel better, stronger, and relieve stress as you experience the mind/body
connection in this class. Explore the benefits of ASANA (yoga postures) to gently stretch and strengthen the body. Breathing techniques quietly relax the mind and emotions and take you into a deeper level of consciousness. You will become more aware of patterns that facilitate a healthy spine and a more relaxed and easeful body, mind, and spirit.

Slow Flow Hatha Yoga
Gentle, slow flowing warm ups get the body and mind ready to move into a variety of more challenging flow series, including sun salutations and other creative flow movements. Meditation and breath work incorporated.
Modifications provided for all student levels. This class will leave you feeling refreshed, relaxed, and energized. To enjoy your yoga experience, please bring a yoga “sticky” mat and 2 firm blankets.

Youth Fitness & Fun
Youth fitness will cover the 5 key elements of physical fitness; stability, strength, cardio, agility and flexibility. This class will teach your child more than 40 new exercises in a fun 7 interactive format. The participant will not only exercise in class, but will be provided family friendly homework exercises to do throughout the week. Your child's progress will be measured by a fitness test done at the beginning of the 8 weeks session and at the end. Parents are invited to join us for the 8th session for the final fitness test.

No Gym, No Problem
join us for this body weight only exercise class. This class is designed to tone, strengthen, and cut fat off the body by using interval training, that will not only burn calories during the workout, but also boost your metabolism long after the workout is over. you will be given simple at home workouts to do between classes to keep you working towards your goals all week every week. Fitness progress will be tracked through a fitness test done at the beginning of the 8 week class and at the end. don't miss out on this affordable opportunity to work toward a healthier you.

Gahanna Get Moving Team
The Gahanna Get Moving Team has walked thousands of miles over the past few years, training and talking their way to fun and fitness. Liz Plott leads this group and will share her wisdom on walking and healthy lifestyles. The group meets at Creekside Park on every Saturday morning at 8 am, rain or shine. Registration is required prior to participation.

Community Garden Plots
The Community Garden at Friendship Park is the perfect place to grow!
We will begin renewing plots on September 2. You must renew your plot by October 31 to keep the same plot! All plots not renewed by that date will then be open for sale and ready for new gardeners on November 10. Don’t forget to renew early to avoid losing your plot!

Lease Term: October 31, 2014 – October 30, 2015

Raised beds are available in 2 sizes:
4’ x 4’ beds RDR - $10 each SR: $15 each
4’ x 8’ beds RDR - $15 each SR: $20 each

A limited number of handicapped accessible beds (2’ height) and chemical free plots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Applications will be accepted until all plots have been spoken for.
