About Gahanna Parks & Recreation
The Gahanna Department of Parks & Recreation offers outstanding recreation, environmental and park assets to our community through a variety of programs and services that enhance Gahanna's quality of life, economic value and environmental protection. Learn more about Who We Are.

The Department is pleased to have received initial survey data as a part of the update of the Parks & Recreation Master Plan. The survey was completed in March and April 2013. Two thousand surveys were mailed to a random sample of households in the City of Gahanna. 745 were returned, a 37% sampling. See the initial results summary here.

To enhance and preserve parks and recreation services, lands, and facilities through high standards and innovation that positions Gahanna as a leading community and a great place to live, work and play.

To conserve the natural environment through parks and open space as well as provide balanced, sustainable and accessible recreation opportunities and facilities.

Gahanna Department of Parks & Recreation Master Plan
In June 2006, the City of Gahanna adopted the Comprehensive Parks & Recreation Master Plan, to guide the decision-making process related to programs, policies, operations, maintenance and capital improvements over the next 10 years.
