Come join us on Saturday mornings for family fishing at Creekside Park! Gander Mountain is sponsoring this FREE program and we are providing limited bait (food for the fish) & tackle (how we catch the fish). We’ll share all we know and even help to get the fish off your hook, if you’re nice! See you on the creek bank! Preregistration is encouraged.

Sponsored in part by Gander Mountain and Bicycle One, the Urban Explorers Program will introduce you to outdoor
activities you may not normally get to try! This program is geared for those ages 16 and over, and will provide you with basic information about activities, introduce you to local resources, and work with experts to develop new skills. These are introductory classes meant to provide a quick overview (not detailed lessons) about outdoor activities in Central Ohio. Come dressed for the weather and your level of comfort.
Please register five business days ahead of time so we can have enough equipment for everyone!

Put on your costumes, dress up the kids and grandkids, and join the Department of Parks & Recreation for our 5th annual spooktacular event! We are so excited to be back at Creekside Park and enjoying all of the fall beauty along the Big Walnut Creek! This event is for children of all ages—and best of all…it’s FREE! Refreshments for all, hayrides, activities, and plenty of candy highlight this fun and safe activity. Come and have a Great Pumpkin of a time!
Highlights:
• Trunk or Treat - Join local businesses, the Gahanna Police, Mifflin Fire Department, and many others as they pass out candy at the event.
• Activities & Games - Come try booling, digging for bones, our very own Madame Moonbeam fortune teller, jack-o-lantern toss, and much more!
• Hayrides - Weather permitting, we’ll take a spooky trip around the Gahanna Municipal Golf Course (adjacent to Creekside Park).

Creep, Crawl, or Run 5K

Join the Gahanna Youth Council at our 3rd Annual Creep, Crawl, or Run 5K! This family friendly event welcomes runners and walkers of all abilities as we creep and crawl, or RUN, RUN, RUN towards a healthy and hilarious finish. We encourage runners to come dressed in costume if they dare!!! Prizes will be awarded in multiple age brackets for males and females.
