Local State Farm Agent Partners with City on Distracted Driving Campaign

Thanks to the generosity local State Farm agent, Mark Breakey and support from the community, the City of Gahanna has extended the deadline for contest submissions for its distracted driving campaign contest until March 1, 2016. Along with having their design featured on city service vehicles, the winner will have the chance to receive a $200 grand prize. The City will also award two $25 prizes to runners-up. Winners to be announced the week of March 11, 2016 via Twitter and Facebook.

City to Hire Part-time Marketing and Communications Director to Focus on Economic Development, Branding and Strategic Communications

Gahanna City Council is considering a recommendation from Mayor Kneeland to create a part-time director of marketing and communications position. As part of Mayor Kneeland's 10-point plan for economic growth and development, the position would focus on increasing the brand recognition of the city in order to aggressively market Gahanna to new and prospective businesses, guide the City in creating an overall marketing strategy, and work to unify and enhance its current overall communications efforts.

City of Gahanna & CenterPoint Church Partner to Preserve Open Space on West Side of Gahanna

Today, Pastor Dave Jansen of CenterPoint Church and Mayor Becky Stinchcomb, announced together at the morning worship service the purchase of 7.44 acres of open field area around the church by the City for future use as parkland. The church will continue to own 4.25 acres and all the structures and parking lots for their activities and ministry in Gahanna.
