Recruitment
"Join the ranks..."

Interested in a dynamic, challenging and rewarding career in law enforcement with excellent pay and benefits? The Gahanna Division of Police is seeking only the best and most energetic applicants to fill its ranks.

Candidates are required to complete a written test, physical fitness based on military standards, and an in-depth background investigation. Candidates who successfully make it through each step of this process, and are ranked at the top of the Civil Service Certification List, must then pass an oral board prior to being given a conditional offer of employment. Additional screening processes must then be completed prior to appointment.

The written test is conducted through National Testing Network and applicants can register at www.nationaltestingnetwork.com.  All written tests must be completed by July 31, 2012 in order to be considered for the 2013 Eligibility List.  After the written test closing date, applicants with passing scores will be invited to complete an online application and select a physical fitness test date.  Academy training for candidates who do not possess a current Ohio Police Officer Training Council Certificate is conducted at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy.
