"Join the ranks..."
Interested in a dynamic, challenging and rewarding career in law enforcement with excellent pay and benefits?
Police Officer candidates are required to complete a written exam, a physical fitness exam, and are subject to an in-depth background investigation. The top ranked candidates must then successfully pass an oral board interview. If a conditional offer is made, the candidate must then complete additional screening prior to appointment.
The written exam is conducted through National Testing Network and candidates can register at www.nationaltestingnetwork.com. After the written exam closing date, candidates with passing scores will be invited to complete an online application and will be scheduled for a physical fitness exam. If an offer is made to a candidate who does not possess a current Ohio Police Officer Training Council Certificate, the training would be conducted at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy.
