Sidewalk Maintenance Program

The City of Gahanna places a high priority on maintenance of the City's infrastructure, including maintaining a safe sidewalk network throughout the City. Sidewalks that are in good repair promote community-wide safety and enhance connectivity and walkability.

May 2023: Sidewalk Inspection
September 2023: Notice Served to Property Owner
November 3, 2023: Appeal Request Deadline to Property Appeals Board
November 22, 2023: Deadline to Opt Out of Program
May 22, 2024: Construction by Property Owner Deadline (or as consistent with approved right-of-way permit)
Summer 2024: Construction by City Begins
Fall 2024: Construction by City Complete
Fall 2024: Assessment Notice Served to Property Owner
2025: Assessment Effective
