Paid Parental Leave The City now offers Paid Parental Leave (PPL) to FOP, OLC, and Unclassified employees. Please see the link HERE for the form which is also saved on ESS. Refer to your contract or the Benefits Ordinance for details. Please note, USW members are excluded from PPL.
Wellness with OSU Urgent Care & EAP - As a City of Gahanna employee, you can schedule an appointment with our partners at OSU Urgent Care by calling them directly. The number to the Front Desk is 614-366-4578 and their team can be reached during normal business hours for scheduling and questions.
Tuned Hearing Benefit As part of your Tuned hearing benefit, you can meet with an audiologist to set up and program your Air Pods and iPhones to make hearing health more accessible. As a bonus, Apple has recently received FDA approval for their new Air Pods as the first ‘over-the-counter hearing aid software.’ An upgrade will be coming soon to allow you to program your new Air Pods are hearing devices through Tuned directly. Employee Spotlight- Aaron Lott (Fleet Technician): Aaron joins the City of Gahanna after dedicating six years as a Service Technician in the automotive industry. In his new role, he is looking forward to expanding his knowledge, meeting new people, and supporting Gahanna’s Fleet Team.
- Constant Pearson (Communications Technician I): Constant, who goes by Connie, recently relocated from Toledo where she spent six years working in healthcare. With her relocation to Gahanna and her new role as a Communications Technician, she is excited to continue helping others and giving back to her new community.
- Sarah Trindade (Marketing & Communications Specialist I – Digital Media): Sarah believes that marketing is all about sharing someone’s story and building relationships. She grew up in Gahanna, so she is excited to apply her knowledge of marketing practices to telling the story of Gahanna via our social media. When she’s not at work, Sarah is with her wife, their 18-month-old, and their two Australian Shepherds.
- Rick Watson (IT Support Specialist II): Rick is excited to contribute to the ongoing success and welfare of his favorite community, the City of Gahanna. When he’s not at work, he is with his family, who is his entire world. He is always diving headfirst into challenges and is happy to learn something new.
