Registration for all February Day Trips is OPEN! This includes the Worthington Candle Works and Hollywood Casino. More information and itineraries can be found at the Senior Center.

Meet with the Mayor

Calling all Senior Center members! 

Please join us for a special edition of “Meet with the Mayor” on Monday, February 3 from 12 - 1 p.m.! 

Throughout 2025, the City will be working on the development of “Our Gahanna,” an updated Strategic Plan that will set the direction and goals for Gahanna for the next several years. As senior members of the community, we value your wisdom, vision, and ideas for the future of our city. 

We invite you to join Mayor Jadwin for an interactive conversation about “Our Gahanna”. The meeting will last approximately one hour. Because of the interactive nature of the discussion, pre-registration is required so that materials can be prepared.  

This is your opportunity to share your ideas for Gahanna, collaborate with fellow residents, and help shape the direction of Our Gahanna together! Please call the Senior Center or stop in to sign up.

Baking with Lauren

Thursday, February 6 at 10 a.m.

Learn a new baking skill with Senior Center Coordinator, Lauren! This month, we will learn how to make chocolate covered strawberry cupcakes.

Lunch and Learn

Thursday, February 6 at 12 p.m.  

Join representatives from Sage Park as they serve lunch and present on a senior related topic. 

Souper Bowl

Friday, February 7 at 12 p.m.  

Do you have a favorite soup recipe? Show it off at the 2025 “Souper” Bowl party. In celebration of the 2025 Super Bowl, fellow seniors will judge and vote on their favorite soups.

Participants: drop off your soup (preferably in a crockpot) at 11:30 a.m. 

AARP Tax Aide

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers FREE tax preparation to anyone of any age. This year, you can schedule a FREE in-person service at the Gahanna Municipal Golf Course. Tax returns will be prepared on Mondays and Thursdays from February 3 – April 10 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.  

Representatives will start taking appointments Monday, January 27 and Thursday, January 30.  

Please note: appointments can only be made on Mondays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. starting January 27.
