April 2025

Greetings Gahanna!  Whether it's preparing for our community's Juneteenth celebration, connecting with residents during constituent hours, or advocating for equity and access in policy spaces, I’m honored to serve this community and represent your voice on Council. Below are updates on what I’ve been working on, what I’ve heard from you, and how we can stay connected.

Logo for Gahanna Juneteenth Celebration. The design features a black and yellow arched banner at the top with the word "GAHANNA" in bold yellow letters. At the center is a green Adinkra symbol representing unity and heritage, with three green stars beneath it. A black curved banner at the bottom contains the slogan “Honoring Our Past, Creating Our Future.” The text and elements are accented in red, green, yellow, and black, symbolizing African heritage.

Celebrate Juneteenth

As you’ve seen in previous newsletters, I’ve been working alongside a passionate committee of residents to plan Gahanna Juneteenth. The event is just over a month away and will take place during the Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival! Check out www.creeksidebluesandjazz.com/Celebrate-Juneteenth for full details and to help us spread the word!

Connect With Me

Let’s chat over popsicles!  I’ll be hosting a family-friendly constituent hour on June 22, from 2:00–3:00 p.m. at Friendship Park (near the swing set).  Bring the kids, your questions, your ideas—and a chair or blanket to sit on. I’ll bring the popsicles!

he background is coral pink with large illustrated blue popsicles in the corners. The event details read: “June 22, 2:00 – 3:00, Friendship Park (near the swing set). Bring the kids and enjoy a popsicle while we chat!” A circular photo of Councilmember Jamille Jones smiling in a lavender hoodie is featured in the lower right corner, with the Gahanna city logo below.
