Cherry Bottom Road Maintenance
The City of Gahanna has identified roadway and embankment conditions along portions of Cherry Bottom Road that require maintenance. Work will be done in two phases, with the first phase of construction expected to begin on October 17 at the earliest. The work will require two strategic closures of Cherry Bottom Road.
During the first phase of construction work, the northern portion of Cherry Bottom Road (immediately south of Academy Park to north of the entrance to Columbus Academy) will be closed for 14 days. Once completed, the northern portion of Cherry Bottom Road will reopen and work then will begin on the second phase on the south section of Cherry Bottom Road, from north of the main entrance to Stonybrook Church to south of Springbrook Drive. This closure also is expected to last 14 days. These closures will take place consecutively.
Maps of the projected closures and alternative routes are included below. It is expected that all property owners will have continuous access to their properties via the recommended detours.
Updates on these projects and road closures will be shared on the City’s social media pages and here at Gahanna.gov, as this work progresses. We recognize there will be inconveniences to travel and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we work to preserve this important corridor.
