On May 7, 2019, Gahanna voters will be asked to consider changing the City’s tax credit from 83.33% to 100% and its earned income tax rate from 1.5% to 2.5%.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Over the past few years, the City of Gahanna has worked hard to provide the best value to our taxpayers, taking many steps to improve our financial management, reduce costs and improve our efficiency.
- In 2015, the City began enrolling staff in the State’s LeanOhio program, which has a mission to make government services simpler, faster, better and less costly. To–date, 33 employees have been trained and 49 projects have been completed. Click here for a summary of the projects completed to-date and cumulative efficiencies.
- In 2016, the City requested that the State of Ohio conduct a performance audit of our three largest departments: Public Safety, Public Service & Engineering and Parks & Recreation. The full audit can be viewed here.
