Are you a Gahanna resident who would like to get more involved in the community? Consider joining the Steering Committee for the City’s Strategic Plan or enrolling in our new Citizen’s Academy!
The Strategic Plan Steering Committee members will participate in meetings, help spread the word about the planning efforts, and encourage community participation. Knowing what is important to the community and advocating for projects that improve everyone’s quality of life is crucial for the success of the Strategic Plan, which will guide the City for many years to come. Applications are open now through August 15, 2024. Steering Committee members will be required to attend eight meetings over an estimated 14-month process.
Want to learn more about how your city operates and how decisions are made? The new Gahanna Citizen’s Academy will offer the answers to these questions and more. Each week, residents will be introduced to a different facet of local government, including public safety, city operations, planning, parks and recreation, and city finances. This course will be interactive and include tours of our facilities, trying equipment, and more hands-on fun.
