UPDATE - March 6, 2024 - As a result of recent inclement weather and unforeseen delays in construction, work on this project is now expected to last a few more weeks. As a result, the temporary lane closure will remain in place.
The westbound lane of Claycraft Road, between Taylor Station Road and Morrison Road, will remain closed until the end of March, weather permitting. The posted detour will continue to direct westbound traffic north onto Taylor Station Road, to westbound Taylor Road, and then to southbound Morrison Road. As a reminder, temporary pavement will be constructed prior to the reopening of Claycraft Road to westbound traffic. Construction of the permanent pavement is now expected to be finished by mid-May, weather permitting.
While the new water main is under construction, residents and businesses may still experience a short interruption in water service, lasting no more than four hours. Those impacted will be notified at least 24 hours before any service interruption begins.
We apologize for the delay in this project, and we thank you for your continued patience and understanding while we work to improve the City’s water service. If you have further questions, please contact the Department of Engineering at engineering@gahanna.gov or by telephone at (614) 342-4050.
