Hello and happy Friday! We hope you all had a fantastic Fourth of July and enjoyed celebrating with loved ones. A big thank you to everyone who joined us on the Gahanna Senior Center Independence Day Parade float—what a joyful, spirited way to show off our community pride!

As we move deeper into summer, we’ve got a full lineup of fun, food, and friendship ahead. Whether you’re ready to picnic, play bingo, get creative, or just cool off with a good movie, there’s something for everyone coming up this week at the Senior Center. Take a look below and join in the fun!

Summer Picnic

Thursday, July 10 at 12 p.m.  

Kick off the summer season in style with our annual Senior Picnic at the Gahanna Senior Center! Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of yard games, laughter, sunshine, and a delicious picnic lunch as we welcome the warm weather with friends and good cheer.

Please note: The Senior Center will be CLOSED for regular programming during the picnic—we'll all be outside soaking up the summer vibes! Bring your hat, sunscreen, and appetite for fun. Don’t miss this perfect start to the season!

July Birthday Bash

Monday, July 14 at 12 p.m.  

Calling all July birthday stars! Join us at the Gahanna Senior Center for a special Birthday Bash to celebrate your big day. Thanks to Sunrise Senior Living, we'll be serving a light lunch and a sweet dessert to honor everyone turning a year older this month.

Not your birthday? No problem! Everyone is welcome to join in the fun and help us sing and celebrate—but only those with July birthdays will receive a complimentary meal. Let’s make it a birthday to remember!

Wednesday, July 16 at 10 a.m.  

What’s better than coffee in the morning? Bingo with friends! Join us for a lively session of Morning Bingo at the Senior Center, proudly sponsored by Woodlands of Columbus.

Enjoy games, laughter, prizes, and good company—it’s the perfect way to kick off your day with fun and community spirit.

Beat the summer heat and head over to the Gahanna Senior Center for a cool afternoon screening of Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch.” Grab some popcorn and refreshments, sit back, and enjoy this heartwarming and humorous tale about ohana, friendship, and a very mischievous alien!
