The City of Gahanna Department of Parks & Recreation offers outstanding recreation, environmental and park assets to our community through a variety of programs and services that enhance quality of life, economic value and environmental protection.
Mission
Provide parks, trails and recreational opportunities to all people of Gahanna so they can be healthy and well while they explore and learn in the community.

To enhance and preserve parks & recreation services, lands and facilities through high standards and innovation that positions Gahanna as a leading community and a great place to live, work and play.
Facilities & Programing
Gahanna owns and maintains over 759 acres of parkland in 54 parks and greenspaces. It includes a state nature preserve, over 200 acres of preservation and conservation property, 2 aquatics facilities, a 9-hole USGA golf course with a pro shop and clubhouse, a senior center, a skate park, a dog park, 3 community parks, 3 rentable shelters, athletic courts and fields, playgrounds, fishing ponds and the signature Creekside Park & Arboretum.
The City offers exceptional recreation programming for all ages including aquatics programming, golf, youth camps, adult and youth classes and community events.
Scholarships Available
The Parks and Recreation Scholarship Award is determined by eligibility in the National School Lunch Program, which is based on household size and overall income guidelines. If you do not participate in this program, a letter of financial need/hardship will be required.

There are several ways to register for a Parks and Recreation program.
- Register online through Webtrac.
- Register in person at the Parks and Recreation office at Gahanna City Hall, 200 S Hamilton Road.
- Register via phone by calling 614-342-4250 and speaking to a front desk staff member.
Register for Active Senior programming in person at the Gahanna Senior Center.
