Summer Camps in Gahanna
Day Camps
The City of Gahanna Department of Parks and Recreation offers day camp programs for a variety of ages and interests. Most of our camps are scheduled during the summer months but we also offer Spring Break and Winter Break options. A day camp experience offers opportunities for children to learn how to interact with others, gain problem-solving skills, develop both independence and teamwork, and connect with nature while staying safe, keeping active and having fun! Our camp offerings are broken into two separate groups; Traditional Day Camps and Special Interest Camps.
Traditional Day Camps
Our popular traditional day camp programs are supervised and staffed by employees of the City of Gahanna. Campers enjoy activities including arts and creativity, sports and games, outdoor education/nature exploration, team building, small group activities, a presentation by a special guest and weekly visits to the pool (*Camp Begins takes a weekly visit to the Splashpad*). Please note that although we have increased enrollment, our Traditional Day Camps have historically filled quickly. We are proud that our Traditional Day Camps are accredited through the American Camp Association.
